LAUNCH OF RURAL ESTATES ONLINE

By | officesinthecountryside-com, rural-affairs, rural-solutions-news | No Comments

Rural Solutions Ltd, the rural regeneration and diversification business, launched the new Rural Estates website www.rural-estates.co.uk at the Historic Houses Association Conference yesterday.

Created to amalgamate the services and facilities offered by the UK’s rural estates and country houses, and raise the profile to the public of what is available in the countryside in leisure terms, rural-estates.co.uk is the brainchild of Rural Solutions, Lord Derby of Knowsley Estate, Matthew Hale of Fairclough Hall Farm and one of the founders of Officesinthecountryside.com and Vast Visibility, the highly respected web company.

The Rural Estates website will help bring together not only all the UK Estates and country houses into one easily accessible and well promoted website, but also the products they offer.  From shooting to open gardens, children’s farms to safari parks, tea rooms to museums – everything will be covered on the new website.  With significant investment in search engine optimisation, the process is in place to hugely benefit owners and visitors alike.

Now that the official launch has taken place, a nationwide mailshot and advertising campaign to estate owners will begin drawing in support from the CLA, NFU and other countryside and rural advocates.

Another Win for Rural Solutions Planning

Rural Solutions Ltd, the rural regeneration and diversification business, has secured an exciting live/work scheme in a Wiltshire Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Company was approached by Mr Ruaridh Webster to secure planning for a family home and a place from which the family can run their businesses.  The development is situated within the beautiful landscape of the Clouds Estate which is owned by the Webster Family.

Rural Solutions provided a detailed submission to Wiltshire Council highlighting the importance of providing a live/work scheme which would enable a move back to the Family Estate as well as providing employment facilities for local business and benefitting the community.

The development has the support of the local residents of East Knoyle village and the Parish Council who understand that redevelopment of the farm buildings will bring a new lease of life to the site and surrounding countryside.

Ralph Foljambe, a Director at Rural Solutions, said that: “Winning consent for the conversion of Upton Farm into a live/work home came as a result of working closely with the owner, local community and Wiltshire Council.  Planning is not a desktop exercise and through face to face engagement, Rural Solutions has delivered a new dwelling and employment space in AONB designated open countryside thereby protecting an important rural asset for the future.”

Mr Webster commented: “It is funny how elated I feel and thank you for getting us to this stage.  It is a hell of an achievement as we both know – so many, many thanks and let’s move forwards!”

Rural Solutions is now advising Mr Webster on the Construction phase of the project.
