Advisory Consultant, Georgina Sankey has been with Rural Solutions for nearly a year and is an integral part of our advisory team.

Georgina has studied for two masters with a focus on environmental management and rural tourism, and also worked alongside the CLA promoting rural events. Since joining the advisory team, Georgina has worked closely with land and estate managers to help actualise their diversification strategies.

What’s your professional background?
I completed a Masters at St Andrews in Geography, submitting a dissertation comparing all aspects associated with a privately owned estate and a National Trust property. I then joined a rural events promoter where I organised field sport and countryside related events at Cornbury Park and Belvoir Castle, in the process gaining valuable marketing and promotional experience.
Before joining Rural Solutions, I returned to studying and completed a Masters at The RAU (Royal Agricultural University) in Rural Tourism Management, where I researched Agritourism and worked alongside the Waitrose Leckford Estate.

What’s your role at RSL?
I am part of the advisory team, where no two days are ever the same. My time is often split meeting clients and analysing market conditions based on the various locations and aspirations of their projects.

If you gave up your day job…
My passion for Health and Wellbeing would continue and I would join a cookery course at Le Cordon Bleu or Ballymaloe in Ireland.

When you’re not working, you’re…
At reeling balls, participating in country sports, playing tennis or making a mess in the kitchen.
