Senior Advisory Consultant

Our team is growing fast and we are looking for a senior consultant to join our advisory team.  The ideal candidate will be enterprising, ambitious and have ten years post education experience of land based, or related leisure or commercial business(es). You will have exceptional people, organisational and communication skills. A commitment and determination to help understand and support clients to achieve their ambitions will also be natural attributes of the successful candidate.

Experience of the following is desirable although not essential:
• ‘Business to business’ consultancy;
• Rural enterprise (land, leisure, commercial, tourism); and
• Client relationship management.

This role is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to be involved in our fast growing, innovative company. Operating from our base in either Oxfordshire or North Yorkshire you will be joining a Director led team and will be creating and presenting development and diversification solutions to our clients to help grow their income and capital base. The position requires regular and extensive travel throughout the UK.

Part Time Company Accountant

Rural Solutions are an independent, specialist professional services provider to the rural sector. The Role:

The newly appointed Company Accountant must ensure the day to day financial operations of the organisation are met. Producing monthly financial and management accounts you will work very closely with the Senior Management team to look at the financial implications of business decisions. You will drive efficiency measures into operational working practices therefore optimising profits, minimising and mitigating financial losses.

Main role and responsibilities:

• Overseeing all invoicing activity, ensuring customers are invoiced correctly and in a timely manner.
• Preparation and delivery of Monthly and Quarterly management reports for senior management (including Board level) to provide team detailed analysis of financial performance and profitability.
• Supporting the leadership team with a variety of commercial, financial and analytical tasks.
• Support senior leadership with the creation of P&L and Cash Flow forecasts whilst ensuring alignment with appropriate accounting policies.
• Overseeing payroll, HMRC compliance and completing VAT returns.
• Liaising with external accountants including in preparation of statutory year end accounts.
• Complete other data driven analysis and reporting tasks.
• Manage 1 assistant accountant with the possibility of the eventual line management of a finance team.

The Person:

Financial Analyst

Yorkshire or Oxfordshire

We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, numerate, logical thinkers, with a passion for financial modelling.

The Role:

The Financial Analyst will work within our Advisory Team, working alongside our consultants to deliver financial context to our client advice.

Main role and responsibilities:

• Undertaking detailed P&L and Cashflow modelling.
• Researching.
• Data sorting and analysis.
• Complete other data driven analysis and reporting tasks.
• Carrying out analysis across different markets, company appraisals and market and financial analysis.
• Analyse and model performance metrix.
• Evaluate & create portfolio and asset models for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
• Assemble, present and give meaningful opinions on financial information.
• Evaluate the financial accuracy of third party models and financial information.

The Person:

To be successful in your application for this role the following experience and skills are essential:

• Accuracy in your approach and have a keen eye for detail.
• An analytical and problem solving approach to work.
• Ability to undertake detailed P&L and Cashflow modelling.
• Understanding of investment modelling.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams.
• Financially and commercially astute.
• A track record in client side and presentational skills.
• Excellent knowledge in all Microsoft Office systems specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Commercial awareness with experience of dealing with senior management.
• Strong reporting experience.
• Good influencing and communication skills.
• Ideally with a consultancy background, MBA or similar business qualification.
