We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Marketing Post Graduate to join our multi-disciplinary team based in Skipton, North Yorkshire (BD23).

The right candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have experience of on and off line marketing. Ideally they will be able to identify strategy, roll up their sleeves to deliver their role whilst being able to measure their own success. They will need to understand that this is a national business with support required in key business development regions. The role requires a breadth of experience including excellent copy writing skills, media relations, event management, creation of marketing collateral (print), website management (CMS) and digital marketing.

We are offering an excellent working environment and benefits package for the right candidate with an annual salary of between £20,000-£25,000 depending on experience. This is a permanent, full time role – Monday to Friday.

Rural Solutions offer a ‘concept to completion’ service to our clients which includes advice, planning, architecture and project management. Our team work across a range of projects including small and medium scale residential, leisure and retail, regeneration and heritage work in primarily rural locations throughout the UK.

The ideal candidates key responsibilities will include:-

  • Co-ordination of companywide marketing collateral
  • Event Project Management
  • Copy write and promotional material production
  • Website Administration; website content, press events and customer information
  • Email Communication; co-ordinate and deliver email campaigns
  • Budgeting & Revenue management
  • Create, build and follow company strategy the social networks platforms
  • Create and manage SM/Marketing Database/Newsletter/Corporate Website
  • Monthly measure and report performances against budgets.
  • Collaborate with the internal teams/PR agency/external suppliers.
  • General; being responsive with all marketing requests and helping to build relationships with stakeholders/suppliers and agencies

  • Key understanding of the importance of brand
  • Ability to work cross-functionally (e.g. Operationally, R & D, Finance, Sales & Procurement)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Post Graduate Graphic Designer to join our multi-disciplinary team based in Skipton, North Yorkshire (BD23). You must be able to demonstrate excellent design skills alongside strong communication. You will also need a minimum of 12 months experience and a sound working knowledge of Adobe design packages is essential.

  • A sound understanding of HTML/ XAML and CSS
  • Some experience of creating HTML email and brochure templates (Inc Responsive Design)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A flair for design
  • Some experience of digital design
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Articulate and personable
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Broad, general Web background knowledge is preferable

 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:-

  • Assistance with production of document templates including Design and Access statements and drawing packages
  • Production of D&A Statements using content from rest of team
  • Creation of diagrams including development frameworks/movement & access, using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Create a suite of infographics
  • Creation of user friendly template documents
  • Create summary pages for companywide reports
  • Use of InDesign for document production
  • Use of Photoshop for adjustment and presentation of drawings

New Associate Director at Rural Solutions

James Podesta joins Rural Solutions with the benefit of over 12 years working in private sector planning consultancies and development companies.  He has substantial experience of the planning system and development process and has advised clients across the north east and north west in the public and private sectors, landowners, various consortia, funds and individuals.

Although recently focusing on strategic land, James has worked on a variety of projects including industrial and commercial developments, retail, residential and energy development.  He has also been involved in Local Plan examinations, made strategic policy representations, site promotions and appeared as an expert planning witness.

James will focus on providing specialist advice to the existing Rural Solutions client base, whilst looking to expand this further through his own contacts.

Rural Solutions are a progressive planning practice specialising in the regeneration, development and diversification of rural assets. Ideally candidates should be a member of the RTPI, with a strong commercial understanding and hold excellent communication and negotiation skills.  Applicants would deal with a range of planning activities such as promotion of sites through the development plan system, evaluation of land use options, taking forward a range of planning applications and providing advice to clients.  Previous private sector experience is preferred.
