PLANNING NEWS: RESIDENTIAL SCHEME HELPS PREVENT SCHOOL CLOSURE

Slider

We were delighted to learn that the primary school in the small village of Clapham, North Yorkshire will remain open after a campaign to save it from closure by local residents.

The news that the school may close shows the worrying trend that without landowners’ investment in development and infrastructure within these small rural communities, they are not seen as sustainable and therefore will lose the support of local amenities.

We are proud to have been involved in the design and recent approval of a residential scheme in the village that directly contributed to the increase in numbers of children attending the school and therefore strengthening the case for the school to remain open.
