PLANNING NEWS – Consent achieved for conversion of two listed buildings to a residential scheme in green belt

We have recently obtained planning permission for the conversion and extension of a domestic outbuilding to create a single dwelling.

Located within designated Green Belt and within the setting of two listed buildings, the Rural Solutions planning and design teams worked collaboratively on the scheme to develop a proposal that removed other existing structures within the domestic curtilage (greenhouses and sheds) creating a larger overall internal floor area to provide residential accommodation.

The project involved a pre-application submission, a site meeting and regular contact with Uttlesford District Council. It was a small but complex project and our client is extremely pleased with the outcome after a year in the process.
