Rural Solutions Planning brought their experience in promoting new country houses and exemplar schemes across the country to this project alongside a deep understanding of the sensitivities of development in ecologically rich and designated areas of the countryside and the mechanics of the planning system and ever changing legislation.

Using a variety of approaches to this planning application including close liaison with the East Devon District Council, community consultation and open meetings with neighbours and the Parish Council, consultation with key stakeholders including the team from Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Natural England, East Devon Wildlife Trust and Environment Agency and bringing together an expansive body of work with the other members of the Design Team to produce a planning application which would have every chance of success and approval.

Planning consent was granted for the new house in 2014 with the build underway in 2015.
