Brief – To assess the feasibility of an extensive rural office development in a late Georgian redundant farm steading in East Lothian

Methodology – A full survey was undertaken covering current office market trends in the region which were then compared to other parts of the UK, demographic profile of residents within 10, 15 and 20 minute drive times, assessment of qualitative data regarding propensity and size of market considering occupation of rural office accommodation. From this, advice was given to the client on rental potential, tenant profile and scale of opportunities available.

Outcome – The survey informed a large part of a grant application process and pre-application dialogue with the local planning authority.
