The latest round of The Prince’s Countryside Fund grant scheme is open, with opportunities for grants of up to £50,000 available for projects within the rural community. There is currently £300,000 grant funding through The Prince’s Countryside Fund, of which rural projects are invited to apply for their share of.

Established in 2010 by Prince Charles, the fund was set up to provide over £1.2 million in grant funding to rural projects across the UK each year.

This year, fund organisers have stated they are eager to receive applications for community projects particularly in the north-east of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. However, all applications that meet the eligible will be considered.

The fund is dedicated to providing support to projects that “sustain rural communities, improve the prospects of viability for farm and rural businesses, and support aid delivery in an emergency and build resilience.”

Grants are awarded twice a year and projects can apply for funding of up to £50,000 in the spring application round, which closes on February 21st.
