ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, PLANNING – OXFORDSHIRE
We are currently seeking an Associate Director to join our planning team in Oxfordshire. We have a range of interesting and diverse rural development projects in this area and a growing pipeline of work across a variety of sectors and primarily within sensitive landscape and heritage settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wishes to be part of a growing team in a role with real autonomy where you can play an important part in shaping the growth of the team. An interest in landscape, heritage and design issued is important and an understanding of general planning principles and planning law is essential. The successful candidate will be RTPI qualified and will have considerable experience in the private or public sector. A focus on client care and project delivery is essential in addition to a flare for business development.

ASSISTANT LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Due to our expanding workload Rural Solutions are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Landscape Architect to join our busy Skipton Office. We cover a diverse range of projects across the UK for a range of clients, with many sites located within challenging and sensitive environments. Projects range from landscape masterplans to support new exemplar country houses, the design and delivery of mixed-use development extensions, leisure facilities, historic landscapes and day visitor attractions. You will be working as part of interdisciplinary team of rural specialists including advisory consultants, planners, architects and ecologists. You will be responsible for the day-to-day production of a range of outputs from hand sketching through to detailed drawings and report production. Candidates may be working towards Pathway to Chartership, therefore you will gain valuable experience from a wide range of aspects including; project management, report writing, design and construction detailing, site surveys and landscape and visual assessments.
To be successful in the role we are looking for candidates with the following;
• Landscape design skills;
• Drawing and report preparation;
• Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative suite;
• Good verbal and written communication skills; and
• Previous work experience within a landscape consultancy.
Desirable but not essential experience:
• Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment/ EIA;
• Detailed Design; and
• 3D graphics.
Degree or Graduate Diploma and/ or Masters in Landscape Architecture accredited by the Landscape Institute or equivalent.
