I’ve been working in the Planning Team at Rural Solutions for over eight years, starting as an Associate Planner and progressing to become an Associate Director.

Working in our Planning Team gives me the opportunity to work across a really broad range of projects ranging from stunning eco-houses to sensitive residential developments to great diversification projects.

The projects we work on are almost always unique and not ‘one size fits all’ so, as a Planner, there is a real opportunity to apply creativity and shape projects in a way that might not be possible elsewhere.

As we have a multi-disciplinary team, it is stimulating to work with designers and business specialists and see other perspectives, at the same time as working with external architects and professionals.
I have found a place within a team where growth is encouraged, rewarded and celebrated and I am incredibly excited at the prospect of the future at Rural and all that it brings. Working with these and all the other wonderful, talented professionals is a big part of that!
