RURAL SOLUTIONS TEAM SET TO TAKE PART IN CYCLING THE LENGTH OF THE UK CHALLENGE IN AID OF COUNTRY TRUST CHARITY
After our support for Sam Boatwright and his epic triathlon, we were inspired to challenge ourselves. We have decided that in order to allow for as many colleagues to get involved as possible, we will work as a team to cycle the distance between Lands End and John O’Groats in 24 hours! That is a whopping 1407km (874 miles).
The challenge will begin at midday on 1st November with the aim to finish no later than midday on 2nd November, the bikes will be set up at our northern office in Skipton. Although we will be riding the length of the UK on a stationary bike we will be mapping out a route with milestones along the way to spur us on to the next check point!
Of course, we have chosen a worthy cause to raise money for in the process.
This challenge will be in aid of the Country Trust. A brilliant charity that is close to our hearts and we’re sure many of our friends and colleagues will be inspired to support.
The Country Trust is a charity focused on bringing food, farming and the countryside alive for disadvantaged children, sharing knowledge, igniting curiosity and broadening horizons.
They bring rich experiences and an education about food and farming to the lives of children that may otherwise not have the opportunity. They arrange trips to the countryside, allowing children to visit farms and get up close with animals and enjoy the beautiful British countryside.

This is going to be a really tough one but collectively as a team we are sure we can do it!
