Webinar – a rural roundup

By Rural Solutions | 12.11.24

Join us for our next webinar, where the Rural Solutions’ team will discuss the outlook and opportunities for the rural sector as we take stock of what has been an eventful year.

We will talk through the big considerations for those planning ahead for 2025 and beyond when putting in place future strategies for the management or development of rural land and property.

If you are running, expanding, or starting a land-based or other rural business, owning, managing or developing land and property in the countryside, or providing products and services to those who are, we will be looking at the influences and opportunities to respond to in 2025.

Policy and taxation in the rural sector to what changes we need to consider

With proposed changes to planning policy and increased targets to boost housebuilding and green development, continued funding commitment for Environmental Land Management Schemes, changes to inheritance tax relief on business and agricultural assets, changes to capital gains, business rates and stamp duty, the requirement to deliver biodiversity net gain (BNG) on all development proposals, and the ongoing review of the Environment Act - there’s a lot to consider.

Whilst in some areas the proposed changes are yet to be implemented, in others, new policy is in place or imminent and now is not the time to stand still. In our webinar, senior members of our planning and consulting teams will talk through the big considerations for those planning ahead for 2025 and beyond when putting in place future strategies for the management or development of rural land and property.
